ABS Plastic is tough, durable, and non-shattering with a haircell pattern front that hides dirt and scratches and a smooth back. ABS sheets are commonly used in automotive parts but have countless applications around the home, shop, and factory. Sheets can easily be cut, milled, and drilled with any standard tools (hacksaw, jigsaw, snips for thin sheets, standard drill bit, etc.) without the cracking or fracturing you would find in Plexiglass. Additionally, ABS sheets can be bent neatly. Thin sheets can be bent cold with sheet metal techniques, while thicker ones are easy to shape with the help of a heat gun. It is also perfect for thermoforming or vacuum forming.

Polycarbonate is just about as easy to work with as wood but with all the benefits of a strong, semi-flexible plastic sheet. Use simple tools like snips for thin sheets or a power saw with a plastics blade for cutting, as well as standard drill bits to make holes.
