Sediment guards for the Daily Revitalize+ (SF400) and Daily Essential+ (SF500) shower filters. As sediment builds up in the guards, water flow can slow. Rinsing or replacing them helps restore flow, often without changing the cartridge. How to replace: 1. Unscrew the shower filter housing and remove the cartridge. 2. Twist the end cap at each end of the cartridge counterclockwise. 3. Remove the used guards and fit a fresh guard at each end. 4. Screw the end caps back on by hand and return the cartridge to the housing. No tools needed. It takes about two minutes. Rinse and reuse: each guard can be rinsed under running water two to three times before replacing. Some staining may remain after rinsing. This is normal and doesn't affect performance. If flow is still slow with fresh guards, it's likely time for a new cartridge. Fits the SF400 and SF500 shower filters and the SFC400 and SFC500 cartridges. Not compatible with the SF100 or SF220, which use built-in sediment filtration. 30 sediment guards per pack, enough to last until your next SFC400 or SFC500 cartridge.
