A TDS meter identifies dangerous impurities only if they are electrolytes. It detects dissolved solids such as salts and minerals. Disinfection chemicals, such as chlorine and chloramine are non-electrolytes and a TDS tester cannot notice them.
Will the filter fit my shower head?
Most 20-stage filters fit standard 1⁄2-inch shower head connections, which are common in many regions. Check your shower head and filter specifications to confirm compatibility.
How do I know when the filter needs to be replaced?
Replace the filter every 6 months or after 10,000-12,000 gallons of use. Indicators include reduced water flow, strange odors, or the return of hard water deposits.
Can I install the filter in the kitchen and drink water from it?
Shower filters are not usually tested or certified for drinking water. While they remove chlorine and heavy metals, they may not filter out bacteria or pathogens, so it's better to use a dedicated drinking water filter.
Does the filter soften the water?
The filter reduces some hardness-causing minerals like calcium but is not a dedicated water softener. It won’t fully soften hard water.
