HDPE is a highly crystalline, non-polar thermoplastic resin.
The crystallinity is 80%~90%, the softening point is 125~135 °C, and the operating temperature can reach 100 °C;
The hardness, tensile strength, and creep resistance are better than those of low-density polyethylene;
Good wear resistance, electrical insulation, toughness, and cold resistance;
Good chemical stability, insoluble in any organic solvent at room temperature, corrosion resistance;
The film has low permeability to water vapor and air, and low water absorption;
The aging resistance is poor, and the environmental stress cracking resistance is not as good as that of low-density polyethylene, especially due to thermal oxidation. Therefore, antioxidants and ultraviolet absorbers need to be added to the resin to improve this deficiency.
High density polyethylene film has a lower thermal deformation temperature under stress, and attention should be paid when applying it.

A: With the right drill bit and moderate speed to avoid heat buildup, drilling into this block is straightforward and clean.

A: Yes! The GYOFFULL HDPE Tapping Block has excellent chemical resistance. One caveat to note: Aging resistance is relatively poor compared to low-density polyethylene, especially under thermal oxidation. So prolonged exposure to extreme heat or UV may affect longevity over time.
