These universal anchors are engineered for use in drywall, plaster, tile, brick, concrete, and masonry, making them a versatile solution for many installation projects. The anchors feature a dual-material nylon design, allowing the anchor to react differently depending on the base material. In hollow materials like drywall, the anchor expands and locks behind the surface for improved holding power. In solid materials such as concrete or brick, the anchor expands tightly against the walls of the drilled hole to create a strong and secure grip. Installation requires pre-drilling a hole with a 1/4-inch drill bit, and the anchor should be inserted flush with the surface before driving the screw. For best performance, the drilled hole depth should be at least twice the length of the anchor to ensure proper expansion. Each package includes #8 Phillips pan-head screws, removing the need to match screws separately and ensuring the anchors work exactly as intended. The anchors accept #6–#10 screw sizes, offering additional flexibility for different mounting needs. DuoPower anchors also provide installation feedback, allowing users to feel when the anchor has expanded and is holding securely. For projects exposed to vibration or shock loads, reducing the working load by an appropriate safety factor is recommended to maintain secure fastening.
