Select a product to estimate shipping.These replacement spindles are used on vintage style door knob systems. They feature 3/8 inch–20 custom threading and come in a zinc plated finish. The nominal size of these shafts measure 1/4 inch x 1/4 inch x 3-1/2 inch, BUT their actual size is 17/64 inch x 17/64 inch x 3-1/2 inch. This square spindle fits 9/32 inch and 5/16 inch square openings, but it will NOT fit into 1/4 inch square drives. To ensure your handle secures to this spindle make sure to use a mid-grade adhesive on the tips of the threading to help "lock" the handle in place. Nominal size is 1/4 inch x 1/4 inch x 3-1/2 inch
